Common Humanity Coalition

We advocate for change in institutions across Canada to create a society where individual uniqueness is celebrated and our shared humanity guides policy decisions.

Our principles

Three principles guide everything we advocate for.

Singular Worth
Every person possesses inherent dignity as an individual, deserving recognition based on their unique qualities.
Understanding
Guiding ourselves with reason and a dedication to truth, we champion the pursuit of understanding as the cornerstone of a thriving society.
Common Humanity
We dedicate ourselves to bringing our shared experiences to the fore, uniting people through common aspirations and our collective human journey.

Incident Database

When institutions sort people by immutable traits or lose sight of the individual before them, they fall short of the principles we hold in common—Singular Worth, Understanding, and Common Humanity. Our public Incident Database documents these moments across Canada, so that what is recorded can be understood, and what is understood can be changed.
